INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations and thank you for your purchase of our Vibro Solution Pro Dampening Kit! We have taken all the guess work out of sound dampening your vehicle. In this Pro Kit, you will find all the products necessary to totally complete your project. Below is a list of detailed step by step instructions.

Tools needed: Vacuum, utility knife, couple of rags, and a good degreaser. *No longer needed because of square pattern design: tape measure, straight edge

STEP 1 First layer

Remove upholstery (front and rear seating plus door panels). Expose the bare sheet metal work area plus expose the outer skin of the doors. Clean all surface areas of dirt, dust, debris and oils.

STEP 2 First layer

It’s time to start laying down the first layer of 5mm Butyl product on the firewall. Start installing the 5mm 0n the firewall and continue all the way down the toe board. Next, completely wrap the transmission tunnel. If you run out of 5mm it is ok to finish the trans tunnel with 2mm.

NOTE: Our 2mm and 5mm Butyl products were designed with a small square pattern. This square pattern has several purposes. First you need to roll the squares flat. This ensures that no air pockets form underneath the sheet, which could potentially cause the sheet to fail and fall off. Second, while you’re working on installing the product and you receive a phone call, when you return to the job you know exactly where you left off.

STEP 3 First layer

It’s time to start installing 2mm Butyl on the floor pan and the roof beneath the headliner (unless the project vehicle happens to be convertible). Just remember you will be covering the entire surface area, so take your time.

NOTE: By installing our 2mm Butyl product on the roof skin you will accomplish something important. You will be insulating the skin of the roof from the rays of the sun, which in turn will lower the ambient temperature in the vehicle.

  STEP 4 First Layer

The last step of the 2mm first layer are the trunk and the doors. These are perhaps two of the most important areas to dampen because of road noise. In the trunk, there are two important areas to pay attention to. First are the wheel tubs, and next would be the spare tire well if it’s located in the trunk. Make sure you totally cover those areas to eliminate road noise. When working on the doors, once the door panel has been removed, you should have access to the outer skin of the doors. This is where you need to install the 2mm product.

     STEP 5 Second Layer

6mm closed cell foam replaces jute padding for two reasons. First, the 6mm is 100% waterproof, while jute is not. Second, since it is a closed cell, it also acts as a heat barrier and sound insulator. Due to this, you will cover the entire FIRST LAYER of the 5mm and 2mm with the 6mm closed cell foam. *this applies to all surface areas of the vehicle where you have applied the first layer, not just the floor.

Thank you again for purchasing our Vibro Solution Pro Dampening Kit!
